Album Notes

The second release from the venue-destroying, glitter-wielding, dance party disaster Charlie Slick, Walter Carlos is a gem. A 100% synthesized creation, his latest album is a polished studio recording, yet it still carries the traditions of energy and simplicity that Slick is known for. Slick manages to inject some depth into his always danceable anthems while keeping them FUN. This album's got it all, from the introspective "Everybody" and the haunting "Say hello," to the fist pumping "This is what I am" and "Keep it simple". "Regular guy" takes an interesting look at the artist's ego and self criticism. Walter Carlos is an electro pop record with honesty that is generally lost in today's ultra "slick" productions. Charlie Slick has covered all the bases here to make sure he is not just another dance track on a mix tape.

Charlie Slick seems like a nice enough fella, but I thinks his music sucks. I bought the CD for my friend Lori who loves Charlie Slick and loves to see him rock the party. I'm sure she loved the disc as much as I hated it. Sorry Charlie, but no sucky sucky on my CD player.
