Album Notes

"A Grateful Man" is Charlie's long-awaited debut CD, eleven songs recorded live in the studio with only a couple of overdubs and no punch-ins... just his mellow voice and old Gibson guitar.

He has been performing as a singer-songwriter, musician and bandleader in the Seattle area since 1965. He's been priviledged to play for some great audiences over the years, as well as play with many fine local musicians (and a few famous ones, too).

Charlie plays at many of Seattle's live music venues as well as fairs, festivals, house concerts, farmers markets, benefits for good causes, private parties and other events.

He also performs for developmentally disabled adults and youth, assisted living patients, homeless men and women, teens with special needs, and seniors in the greater Seattle area.

He is affiliated with Performing heArts, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing life-enriching performing arts experiences to audiences who are unable to access them on their own. He is one of their favorite performers and serves on their Board of Directors.

Obtained my frist Charlie Spring CD through his domestic partner! That was a few years ago--after MUCH playing, my DC died. BUMMER! I have just re-ordered a new one and am back listening to songs that seems to take me to special places. Thank you Charlie!

A great listen!

I'm really enjoying this CD. Charlie Spring's tunes are very catchy and he has one of those voices that really grabs me. The guitar playing is wonderful and I admire Charlie for doing "a man and his guitar" CD. Not a lot of folks would put themselves out there like that. So thanks for that, Charlie.

a pure, powerful, and soulful Neil Young vibe going

i listened to some of the music and i must say that he has quite a pure, powerful, and soulful Neil-Young-on-a-breezy-front-porch vibe going....or something to that effect!
