Album Notes

Charline Rose trained as an actress...she played theater, use her voice for commercials. Then she left Belgium for the United States, where she appeared as an extra in several movies, such as "Rocky V", Oliver Stone's "The Doors" and "Cry Baby" by John Waters.

As music is her passion, she went on tour with friends Calexico and Giant Sands, with whom she ocasionally sang. And so she et P.J.Harvey whose song "The River" was covered and adapted in french by Charline.
During a Miossec concert she met Jacques Duvall who later introduced her to Fred Momont. The newly formed trio then elaborated Charline Rose's album, entirely carried out in Fred's bthroom and garden.
Privileged witness of the early sessions, Etienne Daho had an immediate crush on the title "Le jour et la nuit", and included it in his album "Réevolution".
