Album Notes

Chasing Sunday (Peter Carucci, Dean Marchi and Wilson Montuori) is hot. Chasing Sunday performs often (in its various incarnations) around the New York City regional area, and the boys are currently recording a new cd.

This particular album, realize, solidified a change in style for Chasing Sunday. The band added saxophonist Jeff Sackmann and the music began to meld jazz and rock with folk and pop. Fans called it “jaffopop.” The photos and album art gracing the cover and liner notes were, for the most part, taken on the band’s Summer 2001 Tour of Italy. In fact, they were celebrated by the Mayor and Town of Ginosa, Italy, when they returned for performances two years later. This cd features some of their more acclaimed and well-loved tracks, like “Steal Away,” written for Peter’s grandparents, and the popular mandolin journey, "Peregrination."
