Album Notes

Chata Addy; a Professional drummer, dancer, composer, and choreographer from Ghana, West Africa

Shi Dah means Thanks in my language. This CD was recorded in Ashland, Oregon in 1980, when I was in my 30's. It was then released in 1990- this was the first studio recording of my music in the U.S.A. I called this release Shi Dah because of the help of friends with this recording in Ashland, Or. This is my thanks to them. The rhythms are mostly original rhythms I played when in my home country of Ghana, Africa. All of the lead drumming, and backing vocals are by Chata as well. Please enjoy!!
