The students of Chautauqua Elementary School created and recorded this full-length musical story over the course of a year. Based on a folk tale from an Amazon tribe, the Whistling Monster tells a complete story in songs, instrumentals and narration. The bonus tracks include the improvisations and sketches from which the finished music grew.

Those with an idea of what music made by kids sounds like may be in for a surprise: The depth, drama and real musicianship combine in surprising ways. And the students made every sound.
