Hailing from Vancouver B.C, Ché Aimee, has been performing her original songs across Canada since 2001. Over the years she has shared the stage with some of Canada’s most celebrated musicians such as Sendre Lerche, Michael Buble and Dan Mangan to name a few. In 2008 she joined forces with Devin Townsend, lending her voice to his 2009 solo album ‘Ki’ which received rave reviews
In 2007, Ché caught the ear of David Foster and went on to write and record Greg Wells (Rufus Wainwright, Adele) and Kara DioGuaridi (American Idol Judge) in Los Angeles, CA. In Late 2009 she released her first studio album ‘Underachiever’ comprised of nine of her original songs and its single ‘Getting Lighter’ debuted on Virgin radio later that year.
Directly after unleashing Underachiever she whisked it away to Toronto where she spent the next two years experiencing life in an exciting new city and played various showcases and festivals (CMW, NXNE, etc.). She is now working on her upcoming EP, which is due for release early next year.
"Quietly intense, Ché Aimee’s songs are the sort that sneak around buildings to follow you home in order to leave a bunch of daisies at your doorstep. These are softly personal lyrics that reveal not only a sensitive mind but also a touch of the sideshow clown’s assistant: playful and comical at times, but you can see a bit of past heartbreak in every glance or world-weary smile." -Tiina Teal (LA Magazine, April 2010)
