Over the past five years, Cheeky has established its presence in the San Diego music scene as one of the most entertaining up and coming local bands. Cheeky's music is a fresh mix of eclectic styles ranging from jazz to pulse-driving dancehall, brought together in their own brand of rock. Cheeky’s songs are vibrant and filled with emotive messages.

Unique combinations of perspective, experience, and lifestyle have molded Cheeky's diverse sound. Front man Shant Salakian, was born and raised in Zimbabwe, then joined San Diego natives Andy Jensen (bass), Chad Slaughter (lead-guitar), and Gabriel Johnston (drums & percussion). Shant's rustic vocals, Chad's riveting guitar riffs, Andy's melodic-funk bass lines, and Gabriel's cross-pollinating rhythms coalesce into an intense sonic experience.
