Album Notes

A FAMILY SONGBOOK is Chuck Cheesman's first release for children. The arrangements are simple and in good taste. Highlights include the tender "No One Like You" (written by Andra Willis Muhoberac), Woody Guthrie's rollicking "Bling Blang", the Sesame Street classic "Rubber Duckie", and the original lullaby "Goodnight Child". Fans of traditional folk and fans of fishing should enjoy the original lyrics to "Crawdad Song". (Full lyrics are available at www.chuckcheesman.net)

A FAMILY SONGBOOK was produced by Steve Jacula, Steve Joyner, and me. Other musicians appearing on the recording include Karen Banks-Lubicz, Peter Seman, Mark Dvorak, Sue Mann, Tony Kidonakis, and Dave Downer.

The painting on the cover of A FAMILY SONGBOOK was done by Anne Leuck Feldhaus. www.annesart.com.

Chuck Cheesman would like to thank The Old Town School of Folk Music, all of his friends there, all of the wonderful children who have attended his classes, and the children's families for bringing them.

Thanks! Enjoy the music!

More Chuck!
author: Wendy Love
We loved Chuck's engaging voice and gentle "guitar-side manner" in an Old Town School Wiggleworms class and bought the CD to extend the fun. My daughter (almost 2) now listens to A Family Songbook at least twice through every day and wants to hear "more Chuck" anywhere and everywhere music is heard! The good news is, this CD is one of the few kids' discs that Mommy doesn't get tired of either -- it's fine, friendly folk music, regardless of your age.

This CD had one song on it I had been looking for the lyrics to for several years. The grandkids loved it too.
