The Performance poet,singer, and song writer, Allen James earned the name "The Cheff." The Cheff has a poetic style that speaks about his life and struggles and gives honor and glory to Jesus Christ with no shame. Quite often his lyrics come in the form of food description. The Cheff has been writing since 1997 and performing since 1999 with a style that's one of a kind. Check this out:

+Currently working on BA degree as an English Major
+Has completed various poetry practices and workshops to improve his overall quality of performance

*Practices and writes daily to keep skills up
*He is currently house poet at The Ritz LaVilla museum in Jacksonville,Fla.
*Performs at various colleges, churches, and more.
*Performs for drama programs for at-risk high school students for anti-drug and abstinence programs.
*Performs for large and small churches inside and outside of the city
* Has performed at Black expos in Atlanta, Ga. and Jacksonville,Fla.
*Has earned house poet spot for three poetry spots in Jacksonville, Fla.
