Journey of the Spirit is the winner of the international JPF Music Award for "Best Native American Album" in 2009. An instrumental, meditative Native American flute album, it offers a journey through ancient forests and waters of the Coast Salish First Nations people.
In the ancient ways of the Coast Salish Sissiwiss spirituality, it is understood that all songs are prayers; that our Mother Earth and Ancestors are always speaking to us, gifting us songs. It is through this way that Che oke’ ten receives his flute songs, with visions of healing and prayer for all relations (tree people, animal people, human people).
