HepTown Records proudly presents “Clear Light!”, the full-length debut album from Cherry Overdrive, a Copenhagen based all-female rocking combo and, as stated by Lowcut Magazine, one of the city's loudest bands!
2003 has seen the birth of Cherry Overdrive. Four years down the line, the band have collected all-round press and radio recognition and toured extendedly in Denmark and Germany including shows alongside bands such as On Trial (DK), Colour Haze (D), The Flash Express (US) La Ira De Dios (PE) and headlining the Austrian "Sauzipf Rocks Festival".
Lead singer Lene Kjær Hvillum (ex The Davolinas) and lead guitarist Cecilia Cresso (ex Harry Lime, Drivers) have quite a few notches under their belt. We're not talking your average "chick band", Cherry Overdrive deliver straight-up garage with a 60ies twist and psyche stoner rock to boot with a tight, authentic, overwhelming live act you don't want to miss.
After a jam-packed year that saw them recording, playing show cases (Danish national radio to name one), signing for HepTown Records, touring abroad twice and releasing an EP
(”Reptiles”) that went straight in on the daily rotation on Danish national radio, the band are ready to embrace 2007 with the release of “Clear Light!”, the participation to a prestigious surf compilation (That's New Pussycat! Vol. 2), by shooting videos and planning tours for Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Belgium and more!
“Clear Light!” is the fruit of many joint efforts. Ralph Rjelly (Black Tornado), Willi Dammeier (Institut Für Wohlklangforschung), Lorenzo Woodrose (Baby Woodrose), JT (C.A.P.S, The Burnouts, Gutter Island, Lowcut Magazine) are some of the people who have contributed to this album.
“Clear Light!” will be released in Denmark, Sweden, Norway large parts of Europe as well as Japan, Australia and Canada.

Heptown Records has been in business since 2002 and excels in underground genres such as neo-swing, rockabilly as well as garage/punk.
