Cheryl Wilson's debut CD, "Closer to You" is a musical journey of discovering God's heart and finding His will for her life...all of which was discovered after her husband Jerry's serious life changing auto accident. The couple was forced to sell their family business and didn't know which direction to go, but through it all felt the peace of God's presence. Cheryl knew that God had a new direction in mind. Her prayer was He would speak his will to them...That prayer became the song "TALK TO ME" and that one song started it all. Cheryl hopes that sharing her experience of God through her original songs will give people the courage and strength to overcome life's obstacles, to have a vision that is far bigger than they can accomplish alone, and then to forge ahead with God. "In EVERYTHING He has a plan...and HE will take us farther than we could ever imagine!!!" she adds.

Musically Cheryl has served as coordinator for the Detroit Regional Workshop of The Nashville Songwriters Association International and currently heads up the first ever NSAI Michigan Christian Music Workshop. She has always had a heart to nurture and uplift the songwriter and believes much is accomplished by working together on a shared vision. Cheryl has been a songwriter since early childhood and a member of NSAI since the early 90's. She is lead female vocalist of the Christian Band "All For One" (www.all4onemusic.net.) and regularly leads worship the 3rd Sunday of the Month at Chilson Hills Church in Brighton, Michigan. AFO also ministers with music at other churches, jails, substance abuse facilities, festivals, and fundraisers throughout the state.
Her debut Christian CD entitled "Closer To You" consists of mostly original songs, 2 of which were deemed ready to pitch by the NSAI Gospel/Christian Song Evaluation Service. "Emmanuel" is one of those songs. Cheryl put the rough demo on it just to fill the cd and cause, "I liked the song and just felt strongly I should include it." There was literally no money left to do a new recording. That version is currently in Digital Distribution. (itunes, msnmusic etc.)
Incredibly this "poor recording" has had several downloads in Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia.

There is a NEW version of "Emmanuel" on her group ALL FOR ONE'S "One Way Home" CD. They say great songs aren't written, they're RE-written. This is proof. The rewrite resulted in a much stronger song. Cheryl has been offered a single song contract on "Emmanuel". It has also been added to the holiday playlists of a handful of Christian Radio Stations across the country including 99.7 Family Life Radio WUGN Midland, Michigan and KTLF Light Praise in Colorado Springs, CO.

Cheryl is an active member of ASCAP and the Gospel Music Association. She works with Children's Ministry at her home church of Chilson Hills in Brighton, Michigan. She is married 20 years and has 4 wonderful children. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with family and friends and riding horses.
