Offbeat indie-rock songs that range from bouncy pop songs that comment humorously on self-awareness to more spacious melodies that reflect on lost love. Lots of unique lyrics and keyboard sounds throughout the CD.

Album Notes

Check out the opening rock track "Landscapes by Abbey Kletz," a song written about the Craftsman-style Rockridge neighborhood in Oakland,CA. Abbey Kletz is an actual landscaper in Oakland who unsuspectingly found her business name on the opening track of the Chester Gold and Sparkly album. Next up is "Skippin'" an exceptional combination of rolling drum edits and intertwining keyboard melodies. There's plenty of other interesting and varied tracks on this CD including the cow-themed "5 Pound Tongue" near the end of the album and the somber and cavernous "My Concerns about the Afterlife."
