Chester Copperpot started out in 1990 and have been playing together on an off since then.

In 1994 the band got signed to Swedish indie label Dolores Records, and in 1995 they recorded and released their debut ep “Short cuts”. At the end of the same year, they began working on their first full-length album “Poems and short stories”. The release in 1996 was followed by great reviews and world wide distribution.
In 1997 the band was contacted by Popkid Records, and in 1998 the 7" single Bitter Sweet Tunes was released. The laid back attitude of PopKid suited the band perfectly, and in 2001 they started recording for the album “The Kings of Kirby”. Quite a few fun-filled weekends later – in the fall of 2003 to be exact – the recordings were finished and PopKid released the album in early 2004. The album got picked up by US college radio stations and got great reviews, but due to distribution problems, the record never got the attention it deserved. A fun-filled, genuine and down to earth album, filled to the brim with great, catchy power pop. Directly after the release of The Kings of Kirby, the band continued working in the studio with producer and friend Sven Karlsson. The result is still waiting to be released and hopefully, in early 2008, it will be. This seven track EP, Courage Mountain, will undoubtedly fulfill the eager expectations of the starved public, and it will be the starting point of another great Chester Copperpot era.

Presently the band rehearses at a secret location, but promises to unleash the full power of their potent pop once the moon will reach its full eclipse.

All good things to those who wait.
