Bloody punk-metal ghouls Chesty Malone and the Slice ‘em Ups come from the bowels of New York City, Brooklyn specifically. With flesh eating vocals from Jaqueline Blownaparte, crushing guitars by Anthony Allen Van Hoek, and a pummeling rhythm section courtesy of drummer Diablo Rodriguez and bass player Uruk Brütal, the Slice ’em Ups will bludgeon your eardrums and overload your remaining five senses. Since summer ‘06 the Slice ’em Ups have played their twisted, blood soaked brand of rock n’ roll up and down the east coast of the US (they’ve played shows all over NY state, along with Philly, Boston and New Jersey) and they had a successful Midwest tour in December ’08 (dubbed the Bloodthirsty Hungry and Mean tour, they hit Cleveland, Chicago and Harrisburg) not to mention that in May ’08 they released their debut CD “Now We’re Gonna See What Disaster Really Means” on Wrecked Records. It’s a 13 song blast that comes and goes in 28 glorious minutes.
The Slice ‘em Ups were weaned on punk bands like Black Flag, Misfits, Negative Approach and Bad Brains along with metal bands like Black Sabbath, Motorhead and Venom. Add in an un-healthy dose of zombie and slasher flicks, trashy novels and old time late night sci-fi TV and you’ve got Chesty Malone and the Slice ‘em Ups!
