Album Notes

something for everyone. comedy, tear jerkers, love songs, duets, hot licks, swing, rock, blues... pop a top, sit back and be carried into the human condition by these 11 tunes from the pen and guitars of richard murrey. seamlessly melded together by the production of steven cooper. what it's all about:

"the taste"... ever wonder what would happen if the aliens got drunk? what if earth is the only place they can get a drink?

"don't drink the babysittin' money"... it's tough to find the time and the money to enjoy a little time alone when you got a little one.

"hey badboy"... you think you're all that with the rock 'n roll and she comes along to change your mind!

"cierra skye"... she grew up a tom-boy, best friend, one of the guys... then one day, you noticed... a woman.

"don't let me go"... somewhat self-explanatory... begging for that sweetness to stay around.

"lost hearts, inc."... a 12 step program for chronic lovers.

"love is a stranger"... when it all goes south you don't know someone like you thought you did.

"cowboy's surprise"... a chance meeting at a social... a dance or two... and a lifetime later she's still a surprise!

"party of one"... how things change when a part of you is gone.

"they know my truck drinks"... familiarity they say... well the cops know what you're driving and where you're parked!

"i guess we agree"... nothing like two lovers who are on the same page.

Love the fiddle on “the taste”… great country song, singer does an awesome job! “don’t drink the baysittin’ money” sounds like a real country soap opera… all about going out and having fun but not spending all their paycheck, or in this case, the babysittin’ money! Haha! Fun, and true! Great duet on that one. “hey badboy” like the guitar work on this one and the male singer sounds like merle haggard, another duet and very easy to two-step dance to. Another good country tune is “cierra sky”, slow and easy. “don’t let me go” is a country love song. Sounds like george strait is singing this one, I know it’s not but this guy is good! It’s a love me don’t leave me song. Nice piano licks on this one too, very pretty! “lost hearts” is the number 1 on here I think, true ultimate country. Great singing and super lyrics! “love is a stranger” well done follow up to lost hearts, sure tells a true story about love lost. Don’t drown in your beer! Haha “cowboy’s surprise” is a swinging tune, another good two-step song. Party of one is slow and melodious. “they know my truck drinks” is better than that Ford truck song on the TV commercials! Should have been in Cars as I could just hear that Tater truck singing it!  “I guess we agree”, another song that should be a hit! It’s a wonderful duet, I could hear Tammy and George singing this! These folks have great harmony, take a listen to this one and “lost hearts” if you only have time to listen to a couple.
