Plop a cd of the chevy ford band into a player indeed! your intro was right... i've had the delight of listening to some of the best stuff I have heard out here on cdbaby. Others have no idea what awaits them with the chevy ford band's assault upon the masses.
truly a "roots" band... and to quote the band, "it's time that most intelligent humanoids with a bent towards immortality give this music the respect it deserves".

Chevy Ford, is a tremendously gifted guitarist and songwriter - combining rock tones with jazz/fusion phrasings and a classic chorused/EQ'd guitar. The recordings here - all of them - are tight and produced professionally. The vocalist is Bubba Hudson - and he fits the music well because we want to hear the words - he's the type of vocalist who delivers the lyrical line precisely and vocal quality is right in line with the genre. And what is that genre? It's pop/comedy/tongue-in-cheek/80's/90's rock tunes with outrageous lyrical content and a perfect showcase environment for Ford's guitar work. We wish we could hear the band live without any idea what the band was about... which must be the delight of Ford and the band because the music is straight-ahead contemporary rock/pop - and we're positive there are those who listen to the music, not paying too much attention to the lyrics... guess the jokes on them during performances as from the stage the band has got to have the best time watching people come around and start getting the joke - great band - great music - and over-the-top lyrics - and we're sure, a plethora of facial expressions in the crowd. the Chevy Ford Band, a tight fellowship of music with a continuity and casualness that's extremely entertaining.

With the gorgeous squatter on the front cover of the cd, and the disgustingly wonderful sentiment in the lyrical content - with songs such as "I love Bushy Pits" - she makes me horny in her bathing suit. she makes me horny when she picks her fruit. she's got what I like and it gives me fits. she knows that I like her bushy pits. "Emersum Bigguns" - you go riding everyday on your big 'ol pony, i see you shakin all over, ooh you make me horny. now tell me are they real or siliconey. them are some bigguns baby. "My tattoed Femme" - she drinks Jack Daniels and goes cow tippin'. a roll in the hay and goes skinny dippin'. All on top of a bed of great musicianship and guitar playing.
