the first collection of tunes by richard murrey... blessed by a cardinal who crapped on his hat while walking out of the studio one cold december morning in nashville. he knew this was to be a special grouping of songs dealing with social ramifications, interpersonal strife and conflict brought on by uncontrolled flatulence and gasseous discharges which always impedes a biped mammal's attempt at coitus... but the rock still rolls. the guys are very happy with this cd. soak it in a tray of kerosene for 24 hours, wrap it in wax paper 4 hours, coat in flour, quick fry like a tostada, add salsa, it ain't a bad snack either.
"let's eat the aliens"... the title cut was inspired by murrey's days of government service. it is a portent of things to come in the near future.
"hiphop redneck"... a little down home southern style rap.
"all i got in paris was the rash"... the travails of being a tourist and not protecting yourself.
"oh those light days"... a delicate subject... the female curse and how not to deal with it.
"i ate her lover"... the situation of realizing you're in competition with vegetables.
"are you fixed"... like minds meeting late at night, comparing the common oddities that bring them together.
"horizontal mambo"... teasing the mind into a frenzy... self-explanatory.
"big parts"... living with the curse of being endowed and the daily hurdles of acceptance as the object of worship by womankind.
"sittin' on my hard drive"... when computer sex and online dating began...
"lust for myself"... well, when no one else wants to play at your party... do it yourself!

Loved this CD from Chevy Ford Band!!!

The title cut "let's eat the aliens" has intentional lyrics yet fun and zany... the music is an upbeat tempo that really pops too! "hiphop redneck" is artsy cute and definitely funny, in the vein of the blue collar humor guys... "all i got in paris was the rash" is a jay leno/george carlin type of song... their brand of humor... love it! "i ate her lover" is probably before it's time but really pun intended, wacky and crazy fun... "are you fixed" is wild, can't believe nobody thought of that line before, but am glad to hear it finally... hehe "horizontal mambo" is a classic, or will be in a few... wow! awesome! and great dance song... "big parts" is definitely one of the best songs on this CD, Howard Stern should sit down, shut up and take notice of this song!!! This IS Howards song!!!

The title track states "they're little mutant canibals. they say they come in peace. but they're really just shopping. living at Area 51. making recipes for human dishes. let's eat the Aliens now and forever. all together". Track 3, "All I Got in Paris was a Rash", complains that 'she gave me pain and I paid cash'. Track 9, "Sittin' on My Hard Drive" is about cyber sex and relationships. Ford
writes, we met for coffee at the dotcom cafe - i liked your megabytes - you enjoyed my floppy disc - i said that maybe we should interface. you preferred love in cyberspace - you're sitting on my harddrive - The final clip on the CD is "Lust for Myself" - no explanation needed - but, what the hell, it's about masturbation. The chorus, sampled here - is a breezy easy going chord progression with a solid melody.
