Album Notes

Despite having worked for Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music, recorded Posh Spice and played keyboards and sang BVs on a Fall single, Chicken Feed had never recorded himself until the singer in a band (Delilah's Gold) he played guitar for called it a day leaving everyone to go their separate ways. With the need to clear a few cobwebs from his cupboard Chicken Feed (aka Michael Boddy) decided to record some tracks with the influence of some of his favourite bands: Spacemen 3, The Beta Band, Happy Mondays). Before he knew it he'd written an albums's worth of material. The resulting album "Finding Jim" was released digitally on his own label Blue Eye Records in July 2006 receiving fantastic reviews.

Encouraged by the feedback and the further need to experiment Michael began recording the follow up in September 2006. The project started with initial recordings taking place at Bryan Ferry's studio in West London where drum tracks, percussion and rhythm loops were recorded. The songs then took further shape back at a studio he'd built in his East London flat. Finally some of the tracks were mixed down at The Hospital Studios in spring 2007, the resulting recordings becoming this album "Inside The Machine".

The tracks combine his love for programmed beats, acoustic and electric guitars and spacey vibes. This is music made for the sake of making music - hope you enjoy...
