Beautifully Understated

This CD features beautifully understated arrangements of well written songs. The instrumentation sounds very natural, and is sparse enough that the vocals are appropriately prominent. Tasteful vocal harmonies enhance the melody at just the right moments.
You can really hear the sounds of both of Chiemi's coasts in this album. The gentle, rolling melodies evoke the waves washing Hawaii's beaches, as well as the rolling hills of New England, while most of her lyrical imagery is of the sun and sea. Listen for yourself. You won't regret it.
