Chiko's love for the arts was evident since childhood, he learned to play the trumpet and got heavily involved in school productions for many years. This eventually got him deeper into the acting world as he toured with musical groups where he picked up a few instruments including the acoustic guitar and improv theatres where he developed a knack for comedy.
As an accomplished actor, musician, singer and writer Chiko's music has been introduced to movie going audiences in form of soundtracks. His interpretation of lyrical meaning is applied to both the Spanish and English markets. But it is the ultimate bonus for Chiko to actually play the most important role of his life, one he would earn as a nickname from most his peers; one the Miami Herald Newspaper quoted "The All Around Renaissance Man" Chiko's philosophy: "You Only Live Once, So do What You Love", metaphorically speaking of course.
