Since 1985, Chinchillas have been creating and recording original alternative rock and roll music in the Upstate New York area. In addition to headlining clubs and festivals throughout the region, they have opened up for national acts such as Goo Goo Dolls, 900 Ft Jesus, Jerry Harrison, Flock of Seagulls, The Ramones and Johnny Thunders. They have released several CDs on the Jargon Records independent label.
