Album Notes

A Brooklyn based saw/piano duo who have been together 3 years, Ching Chong Song writes songs that are lyrically and musically at once dark, serious, brooding and funny. A parlor room feeling comes from the way they candidly address the audience both with assertive singing and non-conventional instrumentation.
It’s been a busy year for the Brooklyn duo, beginning with an Antifolk tour throughout Germany in April with Huggabroomstik and Phoebe Kreutz. In May they played in San Fransisco as a part of the Mission Creek Music Festival with their friend and producer Kevin Blechdom. In June, they returned to Europe to play at the renowned Art Basel in Switzerland. In September they toured the northeast and midwest with Creaky Boards. They returned to Germany in October to tour and perform in the Berlin “Porn Film Festival”.
They're career started with two tours supporting The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, as well as playing in Berlin and Rotterdam Ladyfest with Kevin Blechdom.
Ching Chong Song plays frequently at the Sidewalk Café, where “Fortified AntiFolk” music thrives.
A DIY duo with lots of help, this little band has a big sound and limitless love.
