Charly Horvath Nice is one of those charismatic people who can tell countless stories of their lives. Stories about being musician in Hungary during Russian occupation, about giving concerts in Moscow, Norway, China and later on: Europe, Africa, America. For many years the musical globetrotter has been astonishing his audience as an artist but also as an entertainer, while always keeping deepest love to his art. That’s why his new record bears the simple name: “Music”

The native Hungarian has been living in Germany for many years. During the 80ies he was, among others, member of the Afro-pop band “Susu Bilibi” which used to have worldwide success back then. Here, he participated not only in big festivals but also played concerts for and with the poorest of the poor in African no man’s land. Since then, he acted as entertainer and soloist at hundreds of concerts throughout the world. Such experiences have a great impact and sometimes help to see our world and life from a new and differentiated perspective. This pool of impressions is often the source of outstanding pieces of art, “Music” is definitely one of those.

On his new CD all instruments are almost entirely recorded by Charly Horvath Nice himself. Apart from the great adaption of three classical themes, all songs are his own composition, arrangement and production. Charly Horvath Nice is actually a virtuoso saxophone and transverse flute soloist. Still, it is especially his exceptional voice which makes this record a fascinating and romantic travel through the most various facets of current and also ageless music.

On stage, Charly Nice still presents himself as born entertainer. You could almost say, one of the few remaining old-school entertainers. For ladies he is the lyric hero, raising his female audience to a queen’s throne with heart-touching ballads. His male audience appreciates him as personalized vision, the reflection of a man who acts self-consciously, not missing a smile on his lips, emotional and sympathetic, and above all: strong, vital – in the prime of his life!
