Good From The Get Go
author: Bruce Lomet (CHINASKI)
Citrus is good from the get go --- Kicking off with Pining which is delivered with powerful vocals, drum beats, and a hard hitting base line. Then they slow it down on the Under My Coat. Then they speed it up again with Avalanche. Each song hits at a different speed, but continue to rock. Choking Ahogo is a hidden gem in the Austin music scene. I can not recommend this album highly enough!

The secret to ultimate enjoyment of this album is.. play it LOUD. Take note, fans of Hüsker Dü, Superdrag, the Flaming Lips, Elvis Costello, the Replacements, the Who, Beatles, REM, Guided By Voices, and Firehose. It's like an intravenous shot of "happy," what it would be like to drink sunshine, if every cell in your body could agree to fly, if you could have springs in your shoes and hop over the heads of slowpokes. However, this is no bubbly, over-glossed album of ditsy, pig-tailed rockers. They simply know how to merge the electric with the magnetic, the spazz with the well-adjusted. A solid, fun listen.

Perfection
author: Spencer W. Wilson
Choking Ahogo is my favorite band. Their timing, precision, drum beats, bass-lines, guitar-licks, vocals, etc., are so perfect. All of their songs are brilliant. This CD was the first one I purchased by them. I can't stop listening to it. Their songs make you feel happy, and really make you think about how wonderful everything is. I highly recommend you purchase this CD. (Five stars out of five stars)
