Album Notes

The Chop Tops sound is up-beat, frantic rock 'n' roll
music. The Chop Tops influences range from roots rockabilly to old school
punk rock. Their songs vary from stomping roots rockabilly, scorching
surf instrumentals (with a wicked western twist all their own), to
adapted classic punk covers. The band has coined the phrase "Revved-
up Rockabilly" to describe their unique blend of Rockaiblly, Psychobilly,
& Punk music!

In 1999 the band released its debut album, "TALES OF HOT RODS, HOT-
BROADS, & LUCKY ODDS" (produced by guitar great Deke Dickerson).
The C hop Tops soon headed out to tour the US supporting this first
release. During this tour The Chop Tops were heard by Ronnie Weiser,
president and creator of Rollin' Rock Records. His legendary label has
hosted albums by heavy-hitters The Blasters, Gene Vincent, and Ray
Campi, to name a few. Weiser immediately signed the Chop Tops and
at the end of their tour, t he band went into the Rollin' Roc k Records
studio and recorded "ALWAYS WILD". "ALWAYS WILD" was released in
July of 2000 and another US tour ensued. 2001 saw the release of the
Chop Top's 3rd album entitled "EVIL SIX". The band introduced "EVIL SIX"
to the public while performing as the opening act for Brian Setzer's 68
Come Back Special tour. In making "EVIL SIX", the Chop Tops proved once
again that they were no ordinary rockabilly band.

REVIEWS

This is a fine example of what real rock-a-billy music is supposed to sound like. Fine instrumentles, and a nice 1950's vibe. Also a great mild Psychobilly edge. Well done!
