With sounds gathered from the landscapes of the american southwest, the music of 'chris and thomas' could just as easily find it's home in the rainy hills of the early 1970's English countryside. American roots instrumentation meets with soothing vocal harmonies and thoughtful lyricism harkening back to the likes of Nick Drake, John Martyn, Simon & Garfunkel and the late Beatles.

Brilliance in simplicity
author: Adam
I too first heard about this disc on NPR. After hearing the samples, I had to have the disc, and I was not disappointed when I received it. Who knew that such beauty and depth could be captured in such simplicity? The quiet calm of some of the songs belies the biting longing of their lyrics. A brilliant first step in what will undoubtedly be a stellarly creative career.
