Based in the beautiful Gunnison Valley on the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains singer-songwriter Chris Coady has been performing his original blend of “Blues, Country, Folk Rock, Americana, Singer/songwriter Soup” at local and regional venues since the mid 1990’s. A native of the Southwest, his musical style has been shaped by various musical styles and landscapes. Influences include John Hiatt, Robert Earle Keen, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, The Eagles, John Prine and Bob Dylan.
With a love of the creative spirit in all music, and a passion for the “live” performance, Chris is becoming known for his poignant and at times humorous lyrics combined with honest straight forward guitar and harmonica playing. His songwriting is continually motivated by his relationships with friends, family and community.
DEBUT CD RELEASE:
Chris’s debut CD titled “Where You Find It” featuring twelve original songs was recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered at Howlin’ Dog Studios in Alamosa Colorado. “Where You Find It” also features beautiful harmony vocals by Evelyn Roper and the excellent musicianship of Don Richmond (Hired Hands, The Rifters).
