Album Notes

'Truth' is the debut release from Chapman Stick® soloist, Chris Crain. His technique and style on the unique 10-stringed instrument breathes new life into classic jazz standards such as: "One Note Samba" and "Girl From Ipanema". This twelve tune instrumental disc features five original compositions - all performed solo on the Stick.

Each piece has a distinctive melody, played with subtle and soulful expression. 'Truth' is the perfect album to just sit back and listen to. Drawing upon the influences of Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, and Larry Carlton - 'Truth' promises to be one of the most unique additions to your music library.

Music from 'Truth' has enjoyed radio-play on WorldMusicRadio.com, TheX.ca (Stick Show, The X 92.5FM, Canada), and UABC Radio 104.1FM in Mexico. Chris is also the author of 'The Sticktionary' and 'Stick eLessons' - two instructional texts for the Chapman Stick.
