Chris DiMeglio is a trumpeter, composer, and vocalist living in New York City. He has performed or recorded with Daniel Carter, Steve Dalachinsky, François Grillot, Jason Kao Hwang, Shahzad Ismaily, Daniel Levin, Nate McBride, Butch Morris, Ras Moshé, Todd Nicholson, Mark Ribot, Frank Rosaly, Blaise Siwula, Steve Swell, and Anti-Social Music. Chris was a commission recipient from the Festival of New Trumpet Music in 2008 and currently performs in a variety of creative collaborations.
"The Open Field" combines elements of rock, classical, jazz, and experimental music with concrete and unique forms, tonal & free improvisation, an integration of poetry both recited and sung, and a variety of modern sounds.
