Chris Donley has just released his first full-length album, "First Person Point of View" but is no newcomer. Donley has written virtually thousands of songs, thirteen of which made the new album.
Starting at a very young age, between 13 and 14 years old, Chris Donley is a self taught gutarist influenced by rock bands such as Jane's Addiction, Pantera, and Smashing Pumpkins. His writing style leaves much to ponder. Later discovering the intricate beauty and sublety of what true voice is by artists such as Jeff Buckley, Ours, and Ryan Adams, Donley discovered that everyone has different emotions at every moment of the day and begin compiling his "softer" songs in the studio choosing 13 out of 52 recorded. Between scratching the surface of life and the unexpected trials and tribulations of life itself, the information received keeps unfolding into the pages of his lyric books as he continues to further progress as a musician, as an artist...as a human being.
Chris Donley is also one of the founding members of the Cleveland based rock band, Sindust in which he is the lead guitarist and vocalist.
Chris Donley has a very loyal following of fans throughout the Midwest and to coincide with his first solo release, Donley will now branch out as he gears up for a series of regional performances. Stay tuned for more listings of those performances and watch here as his progressive mind molds itself into what makes Chris Donley's music uniquely his own voice.
