Album Notes

Chris Ellis is a singer/songwriter who hails from Morgan Hill, Ca. In addition to singing and writing songs, Chris plays bass, keyboard and violin.

Back in the 1990s, Chris played with the original band "The Tearmagnets" lovingly called the most almost signed band in show biz. With the Tearmagnets, Chris has warmed up stages for the likes of Clarence Clemmons, Rik Emmett, Rory Gallagher, Tony McAlpine. Ronnie Montrose, Dave Mineketti, and others.

Just prior to the Tearmagnets, Chris studied bass with Myron Dove, Santana's former bassist.

Most recently, Chris has returned to her childhood love, the violin. The classical studies of the past have been replaced by original songs which lean heavily toward latin, jazz and blues. With Chris' new band "The Shadow Opera" Chris teams up with fellow CD Babyer Diego Picetti. Watch for the Shadow Opera CD coming soon.
