If you like Buffet you'll like Foster
author: Lyndsay Grace Cummings
The overall feel of Cayo Hueso, is uplifting, the title track is a great song geared towards the history of Key West. THe whole album is best off of the history surrounding what the floridians call the Conch Republic. With other great tracks such as Widows Walk( a great love song) Last Train to Paradise (the history of Flaggler) or Storm of the Century(the tale of the hurricane that wiped out the keys in the 1900's) you will be moved. The album also contains a cover of Doby Grey's Drift Away, and is so beautifully done. My recomendation is listen to it. You'll feel the vibe of Key West.

This CD is a masterpiece!!
author: Tim Connelly
I've been listening to Chris Foster for more than 20 years and have always thought he was nothing short of terrific. But I was totally unprepared for this CD! The beautiful melodies have been augmented by powerful rhythms. His vocals have matured like fine wine, getting better and better over the years. His guitar playing is edgier than its ever been without losing any of its control. And his ability to tell a story is simply unmatched. His lyrics pull you into the story and whether it's of a hurricane or the building of a railroad, you become a part of the action.
If you like the idea of folk music but want music that moves, arrangements that dance, and rhythms that really beat - in short, if you're looking for a cross between the lyrical insights of folk with music that has all the zest of pop, rock, and jazz, then this CD is worth a listen. Storm of the Century is unforgettable and may not even be the best song on the CD!
