Album Notes
Hard Truths is the first release from Milwaukee-based band Chris Head and the Honchos. Featuring an eclectic mix of 14 original compositions, the disc spans multiple genres; rock and powerpop rub elbows with country and folk, veering from intimate, stripped-down arrangements to layered, full spectra of sound.

The Hard Truth is that it's a great CD
This is the first CD for the trio but the second release for Chris Head. The quality shows as the music is great. I have seen them in concert, and the CD sounds as polished as seeing them live. The songs do a great job of showing the full range of the band. Songs like "Tina Smile" and "Down in the Bottom" are just a couple of the CD's highlights. I think that you will enjoy their music as much as I do.

"Hard Truths" isn't so "hard" to enjoy.
I really enjoyed listening to this CD. Songs that have meaning and easy to relate to. "Tina, Smile" is my favorite, but I also really liked several others, including "Thank Me Later" and "Be That Man". The kind of music that you can play anywhere and watch people listening to the words as they are thinking, "Yeah, I agree with that" or "I know that feeling!"
