Album Notes

Chris Littler has been writing music for nearly a decade. While in his home state of Arizona, he frequently dabbled in his home recording studio - inviting friends from high school over to pound soda and bottled water, recording tracks well into the night. Dehydration was a real danger, as recording required the fans and air conditioning to be temporarily halted. Anyone who has spent time in the desert knows that the mere idea of spending an afternoon in a cramped, insulated basement with no source of relief is madness. But music makes people do silly things.

Chris moved to New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Aside from being a musician, he is a screenwriter and a playwright - which is an obvious influence on his lyrics, which tackle the heavier aspects of his life with trivial wordplay. Besides the experience of basement recording, Chris brought a few other things with him from Arizona - his piano keyboard and acoustic guitar. When the words on the page aren't getting the feeling across just right, Chris turns to music to set the record straight.

A trip to Ireland provided most of the inspiration for Chris's latest album, "Send My Warmest to Nameless". After arriving back in the States, he asked his friend and producer Caroline Eppright to round up musicians to help him turn his few scraps of songs into a full-length album. Recording artist and fellow Tisch student Deb Oh was the first to come on board, providing the angelic harmonies and the more subtle piano pieces. After her, drummer Zach Arlan and bassist Darren Will joined to create the ensemble that would provide the energy that drives the album. Recording the album at Real Brave Audio in Queens under the supervision of recording artist and all-around super guy Dan Powers was an exhilirating experience that was a far cry from those sweaty summer nights back in Phoenix, Arizona.

Chris is currently preparing to promote sales of the album in New York City, playing at gigs in the Greenwich Village area with varying members of his backup band.
