Album Notes
Guitar-slinger and vocalist Chris Lord returns to reignite the success he gained as the leader of the Bay Area power trio Blue Belly. Joining him are veteran Northwest players, bassist Matt Blair and drummer Rick J Bowen, who form the core of their dynamic, singular sound.
Recorded live off the floor at Butters Sound Rec-Room Studios for an unfiltered, in-your-face, full-flavored sound.

“With a Texas groove, "Spirit of Abilene” is a great indication that a smokin' new Seattle CD is
coming."Chunkabilly Blues" with Chris Lord and Cheatin’ River has me wanting more.”
~Jonathan “Oogie” Richards NWCZ Radio - Mighty Mouth Blues~

“How could you go wrong with an album called “Chunkabilly Blues?” You Can’t. Chris Lord and
Cheatin' River is a blend of classic Stevie Ray Vaughn-blues mixed with a little Louisiana creole
soul. Their bar room blues makes for a beer chuggin’ good time.”
