ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The debut album of Chris Murphy Elliott has been a long time coming.. "Thats partly why I named this album 33 1/3, Partly just cause I dig records, but mostly because it took me 33 years playing an teaching just to get here... Here meaning having the ability to record professionally in my own studio. I have been playing music my whole life so this is an accumulation and expression of several different ideas 33 years in the making.." The album is mostly instrumental and very rooted in the blues, as it begins it plays like a smooth blues album but it also evolves to take a trip to the outer reaches of our galaxy only to crash land on some hostile alien world .. The dazzling guitar pyrotechnics and effects are mostly produced the old fashioned way with phasers and flangers and by unabashed guitar abuse.. Chris Murphy Elliott plays ALL the instruments and even sings on "Call The Doctor"(the JJ Cale cover)... Along the way chris has invented his own interesting duet style approach to guitar.. But is he any good?? The Guitar Playing on this album has already been compared to David Gilmore, Jeff Beck, Freddie King, Billy Gibbons, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Carlos Santana.. We think thats a pretty good list so far..
