Album Notes

With a passion and gift for music since early childhood, Chris Savage was classically trained on piano and organ, beginning with August Conen, the pianist for Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, and some teaching at the Palestrina Foundation. From there, he studied under Italo Taranta at the Detroit Conservatory of Music, and then at the Detroit Institute of Music Arts. He later served as one of the organists at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.

He later added violin to his instrumental repertoire, and studied under Carl Austin. Chris also built a harpsichord that he played as well. He then expanded once again and added the viola.

Chris has used his musical gifts and talents as organist, pianist, choir director, harpsichordist, violinist, violist, and keyboard player in a variety of venues that ranges from cathedrals and churches, to orchestras, to string ensembles, video and TV soundtracks and recording.

In \"Roots by Bach\", Chris returns to his classical music roots with his favorite composer, Johann Sebastian Bach, creating arrangements that flow directly from his passion for music.
