Chrisse "Mamafrika" is a winning finalist in the JOHN LENNON SONGWRITING CONTEST 2004 (world music) The album "This Is How I See It" is an award winning album with selection by MIDEM for performances by Chrisse in Cannes France, 2005. She is endorsed by "TOCA" drums & percussion and is an Associate of THE RECORDING ACADEMY (The Grammy's)and hold membership with the USA Film Music Network, and the USA National Association of Record Industry Professionals.

She is a "hunter and gatherer' of world music rhythms recreating them into unique fusions of hiphop/reggae/R & B tracks, with powerful and mesmeric vocals.

Australian born of North African & Greek descent, her band members hail from Ghana, India, Philippines, and North Africa - Chrisse & her band have performed by invitation of the Olympic Committee at the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney, at the Sydney Opera House, and at major world music festivals nationally and internationally.
