Album Notes

Drawing inspiration from Neil Young and The Band as well as modern alt country bands like Son Volt and Whiskeytown, Chris Sipos and the Farm Report offers some appealing sounds and interesting arrangements. Recorded live in the studio, Of Time and the River captures the sometimes complex and sentimental songwriting of Chris Sipos accompanied by a full band featuring Mark Machak on pedal steel guitar/mandolin, Carey Orna on keyboards, Steve Sipos on drums and Daron Rogan on bass. The result is a mellow almost cinematic sound that paints a picture around the lyrics. At its best, you can feel the longing for moments lost and yearn for a quiet day by the river, just you and your thoughts.
