I ask the audience,Does this man have limits to his talents ? No is the reply as one member of the smiling crowds stand up and claps this enigma another,then another shouts No... The whole audience seem to be in agreement. This man Chris Smith is obviously pushing the boundaries of what we humans thought was not possible. Three cheers for Mr Smith Hip hip hoorah... I came across this composer when watching Classic FM TV (now O Music) on satelite television. The second movement to Piano Concerto No1 Movement No2 is simply stunning (it also has a beautiful old Venitaian video which accompanies the music). Chris Smith writes in the same mould as Ludovico Einaudi, but is more melodic, more technical and a much better pianist. I thoroughly recommend buying this album, and I am eagerly awaiting his second album due for release this month.
