Noted jazz vocalist Christian Josi and Smithereens frontman Pat DiNizio first met in 1988 on the Los Angeles set of The Smithereens video 'House We Used To Live In" when Josi, then in college, was co-producing an episode of former KROQ personality Jim "Poorman" Trenton's local TV show "Adventures With The Poorman" featuring the hugely popular band. 15 years later the two re-connected as established musicians and have been close friends ever since. An enduring component of that friendship has always been a mutual desire to record classic songs together in a stripped down, bossa nova "Frank & Jobim" style, and the "Holiday 2012" single is that desire finally realized.
Joining the fun are DC-area based modern jazz greats David Rosenblatt (G) and Bob Abbott (B).
