Welcome to a collection of songs & stories from previous albums! As I was looking back, I smiled
when thinking about the tunes that people asked for, the tunes that were my favorite to play, the tunes that my band members enjoyed, the tunes that made a difference in someone’s life or left an impression of some sort…I have always been grateful for being able to create music & have it land on ears that were actually listening! Some of you might have heard all of these songs before, some of you may have never heard them- but here we are, now, & I hope you enjoy A Collection! A career as prolific as Havrilla's almost begs for a compilation album, and this well-chosen batch of songs serves as a fantastic introduction to not only her compelling brand of folk and pop/rock, but also to her progressions as a singer and songwriter. A Collection features songs from an EP and five full-lengths, and the songs chosen for inclusion paint a picture of an artist who excels at both intimate, emotionally vulnerable tunes ("Ride," "How Long"), and rousing, peppy pop songs with soaring hooks ("Waiting," "Undone"). Her vocals add even more strength to already infectious melodies, and though her approach to accompaniment and arrangements varies (favorably) over the course of these 15 songs, her voice is a comforting constant, drawing you in with its raw emotion and not letting go.
