Album Notes

Christ On A Bike (aka C O A B) started in March 2004, as a jokey pretend band formed with four non-existent members but with a wealth of material made using Acid Pro and additional instruments and found sounds over several years. The joke became serious when after releasing a 20-strong 1st LP, "Heaven's Cycle" in the same month, there was a number of people from downloaders online to friends and relatives that said the songs were good enough to come form a "real" band! The seed was sown. Going under the names of Chris Sakes and Holly Ghast, the band ditched the other "members" and became a real electronica act, who's influences ranged from house and jazz, through commerical pop, club and dance music into punk and reggae. Their next LP (Oct 2004) was a 12 strong album of grooves and melodies entitled "Me, You & Jesus 2" carrying on the "christ" motif. However, the songs were much stronger with better production and it even harvested four singles of superb quality. The band released their 3rd LP in just 18 months, "The Beat Conductor" in 2005 and were reviewed by NME and the Italian press, even courted by Parlaphone Records at one time. Their 4th LP "A Geminus Vita" was released in October 2006 spawning four mammoth singles of pure electro pop and grooves. You can still buy it at www.christonabike.net . Now (2007) they release their twin LPs of instrumental melodies and left field wackiness in "Child's Play" and "Adult Games".
