Album Notes

Christopher Kent has been singing professionally since the age of ten. As a kid, he toured the world with the American Boychoir; in high school he discovered pop music, taught himself to play guitar and began writing songs. After graduating from college he moved to New York City to write and perform full time.

At first, Christopher made his living singing in bars, learning hundreds of Top Forty hits and perfecting his vocal style. As his following and original repertoire grew, he appeared in clubs throughout the New York area and became a winner of the New York Songwriter's Competition. Christopher has performed both as a solo act and with a backup band, and has appeared numerous times on New York and Philadelphia radio.

While in New York, Christopher arranged and produced his first album, INTUITION. A few years later, recording artist Christine Lavin introduced him to Bill Kollar, who had produced her award-winning album, Good Thing He Can't Read My Mind. Mutual respect and admiration eventually led to Bill producing Chris' second album, DOORWAY.

During this time, Christopher created Songwriting Demystified, a unique, intensive songwriting course -- often called "The best in New York" -- which he taught for five years at New York's Discovery Center.

Now living in the Philadelphia area, Christopher continues to perform for appreciative audiences and give seminars on songwriting and creativity. He recently began working on his third album, titled Piece of the Puzzle. The title cut from the new album is available as a free download at his website, www.christopherkent.com.
