Album Notes

Pocketful of Nails was Christopher's first CD recorded in Nashville. Christopher shines with his trademark acoustic, but he's joined by some of the finest musicians/singers in the biz (Jerry McPherson, Steve Brewster, Ken Lewis, Blair Masters, Mark Baldwin, Lisa BevilI, Tim Davis, Kelly Willard). Integrity Music signed two of the songs (The Name of Jesus and Your Unfailing Love) and allowed him to mix the whole project at their studios in Mobile, AL. They put The Name of Jesus on one of their Women of Faith projects and both songs on their Lighthouse project, BC/AD, which went out to over 40,000 homes as an evangelism resource.

Christopher produced the project with the help of engineer and friend, Jeff Pitzer. A number of the songs received radio airplay, with the title track reaching #2 on super station WJTL in Lancaster (no small feat for an indie artist). The songs still hold up amazingly well because of their production and depth of lyric.

Don't miss the hidden gem that many think is the best song on the project! 5 minutes after what is thought to be the last song, Christopher and his young daughter sing and play guitars on a duet of Mark Altrogge's All That We Need, recorded live at a coffeehouse in PA. Just beautiful...

[A little trivia: Integrity actually invited Christopher to come back and record a solo project on their Vertical Label. But... they had signed Jami Smith and needed to do her project first. Then Ten Sheckel Shirt came out with theirs, then another CD from Lincoln Brewster... and the CW project fell through the cracks.]
