Following the success of his two solo efforts, “Gold Like the Sun” & “Little Puppy,” his latest album, “Happy Again” combines elements from all aspects of Chris Van Cott’s (CVC) musical repertoire. Whether you’re enjoying a glass of wine, working around the house, or speeding down the highway, CVC has something for you!
Singer/Songwriter, CVC picked up his first guitar at the age of 6 and has been hooked ever since. He won middle school Composer of the Year for completing a full-length album entitled, “Premier Collection.” He played in various projects throughout high school and went on to graduate from Five Towns College of Music and Audio Engineering in Long Island, NY in 1997.
In 1998, he formed Other Natural Flavors, also known by their fans as, ONF. As the lead singer and guitarist, he explored the world of alternative pop music by blending sweet vocal harmonies with an edgy rock sound. CVC’s zeal for adventure led him to the West Coast to record ONF's debut album, "Drop the World." It received extensive college radio airplay and a licensing deal with MTV networks. However, it was the band's live shows, lead by the energetic singer, which won over many critics in New York and San Diego alike.
CVC’s experiences have helped him develop as a storyteller. In 2004, UMO Music NY selected Chris as one of “The 14 Best Singer/Songwriters of Greenwich Village”. The compilation CD featuring all the artists is available at www.cdbaby.com/cd/umomusic2.

Folk Pop Hero
author: Smother Music Magazine
Explain to me how a man who’s written two great albums in “Gold Like the Sun” and “Little Puppy” could say that he’s “Happy Again”. As if he isn’t always reveling and rejoicing in his own innate musical talents. I wish I had half this folk pop hero’s abilities. He re-proves his knack for constructing dynamite catchy hooks rifling through a catalog of pop-rock cuts that are sure to be a classic in whatever venue he graces with his presence.
