Chris Van Loan is a singer/songwriter/poet who grew up in Philadelphia and currently lives and performs in Austin, Texas. His music has been described as “Ben Harper meets Maya Angelou”. His latest CD, entitled Rebirth culminates several years of musical and personal growth. It encompasses folk, jazz and spoken word. The CD also features the song “Going Nowhere Fast” which was originally featured in the Wordz DVD to accompany the amazing surfing of Joel Tudor.
