Album Notes

"Inertia", the new album from vibraphonist Chris Varga, features six different guest pianists and fresh arrangements of familiar jazz standards and pop songs.

Highlights include Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely", the well-known standard "Body and Soul", and the title track, the lone original composition.

A tune certain to be unfamiliar to most listeners is "Im-Jin River", a North Korean folk song given a contemporary treatment by Varga and pianist Lee Ji-Young.
